
Mount Adams is a high threat stratovolcano standing at a height of 12,277 ft. Part of the Cascade Volcano Arch, it is the largest volcano in volume even surpassing Mount. Rainier. Mount Adams has been experiencing frequent quakes. If it blew it could cause major avalanche, landslides, or muddy flows of rock, ash and ice known as lahars. Located roughly 70 miles northeast of Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon. Mount Adams is the largest active volcano in Washington State and among the largest in the Cascades.
