The Real Reason Behind the Real ID Requirement
The new federal ID requirement, known as Real ID, went into effect May 7, 2025. But is it really about enhancing security, or is there more to it? Could this be the beginning of a global tracking system? Sure if your not a criminal you have nothing to hide right? So what is your privacy worth to you? Your biometrics on a government database, and a mandatory ID to that limits travel for those who don’t wish to comply. After 9-11 we got the Patriot Act and later in 2001 the Real ID. So why wait 20 years later to implement the Real ID? During Covid emergency contact tracing apps were in use. Since the majority of Americans now own a smart phone or tablet, Your vaccine status became a requirement to travel over seas and to Hawaii. China came out with a Draconian Social Credit System App. This app gives the CCP access to public bank accounts and penalizes Chinese Citizens for speaking out against their Government, limits their use of public transportation, access to nice hotels and restaurants etc. Allowing the Government to have access to our funds could be disastrous if they wanted to cut off funds for non compliance.
The Real ID is a federally-compliant ID card that can only be attained with specific records and documents laid out by the federal government. Despite the federal government’s claim that it is necessary for preventing future attacks, the 9/11 hijackers presented legitimate forms of identification at the time and the new ID requirements would not have prevented the attacks.
The Real ID Act was passed in 2005 as a response to the 9/11 attacks, but its implementation has been delayed multiple times due to opposition from states and governors who opposed the implementation of a national identification database. The federal government has used the 9/11 attacks as an excuse to expand its power and nationalize airport security, as well as to conduct surveillance on citizens with the passage of the Patriot Act.
The Real ID requirement is the latest chapter in the federal government’s effort to expand its power, and it lays the groundwork for the federal government to collect biometric identifiers and facial recognition data from citizens, potentially creating a de facto national ID system. In fact, the federal government has been using the 9/11 attacks as an excuse to expand its power and nationalize airport security, giving itself sweeping new authorities to conduct surveillance on everyone, including American citizens. The Real ID requirement is just the latest chapter in this effort. This law leaves room for the government to expand the requirements to include biometric identifiers like retinal scans, fingerprints, or DNA, effectively creating a de facto national ID system.
Understanding the REAL ID Act
The REAL ID Act is a law passed by Congress in 2005 to improve national security. It sets standards for issuing identification documents like driver’s licenses and ID cards. The main goal is to prevent people from using fake or unverified identification to access certain areas or services.
Key Points:
- The REAL ID Act requires federal agencies to verify the identity of people before issuing identification documents.
- These documents must meet minimum security standards to prevent counterfeiting.
- Starting May 7, 2025, people 18 and older will need a REAL ID or another acceptable form of identification to:
- Fly domestically
- Visit certain federal facilities
- Enter nuclear power plants
- The REAL ID Act does not affect other uses of driver’s licenses or ID cards, such as driving or everyday transactions.
Important Terms:
- REAL ID: A driver’s license or ID card that meets the minimum security standards set by the REAL ID Act.
- Mobile Driver’s License (mDL): A digital version of a driver’s license or ID card, which is not accepted for official purposes.
- Federal facilities: Government buildings or areas that require special identification to enter.
- National security framework: A system to protect the country from threats and ensure public safety.
Is there another form of ID that is acceptable for flight travel domestically in the US other than submitting to a REAL ID and giving up your privacy for Security? The answer is yes.
Using a Passport for Domestic Flights
If you have a valid U.S. passport, you can use it as an acceptable form of identification to fly domestically, starting May 7, 2025. This means you won’t need a REAL ID to fly within the United States.
Other acceptable forms of identification for domestic flights include:
- Trusted Traveler Cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, or FAST)
- Military ID
- Tribal ID
- Inter-Tribal Identification Card
So, if you have a valid passport or one of these alternative forms of identification, you’ll still be able to fly domestically in the US.
Is this really about keeping us safe, or is it about giving the government more power and control over our lives? Interesting how under the Biden Administrations “Open Boarder Policy” our boarders were flooded by illegal immigrants, then implement a requirement to conform to a national biometric system. Yet there are still Democratic ran States in the US that don’t require a valid ID to vote.
Under President Biden’s watch, there have been over 8 million migrant
encounters nationwide, 6.7 million of which have been at the Southwest border.
Worse yet, over 1.7 million known gotaways—illegal immigrants who have evaded
Border Patrol— are now living in the interior of the United States without
documentation and without having undergone any vetting by immigration officials.

Voter Identification Laws by State
As of November 2024, 35 states in the United States require voters to present identification at the polls. The type of identification required varies by state, with some requiring photo identification and others accepting non-photo identification. The following is a summary of the voter identification laws by state:
- 23 states require photo identification: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Texas.
- 12 states do not explicitly require photo identification: Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin (although some of these states may require identification in certain circumstances).
- 15 states do not require identification: California, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, New York, and Washington (for in-person voting).
- Some states have exceptions to the identification requirements, such as for first-time voters or voters who registered by mail without providing identification.
It’s worth noting that voter identification laws can change over time, so it’s always best to check with your state’s election officials for the most up-to-date information. Thus Benjamin Franklin warned about giving up freedom for security. The irony in this is appalling. How does this relate to Biblical Prophecy? In the Book of Revelations, the Apostle John who was banished to the Island of Patmos for preaching Christ, received a End Times Vision from the Lord about Events that would precede His Second Coming and the Apocalypse. There will arise on the World Stage a cunning but charismatic world leader who enters into power through intrigue. The world will be suffering global upheavals, reeling from a possible 3rd World War, and a global economic collapse. He will act like a savior with all the answers and push for world peace. Sounds good right? He signs a peace treaty with Israel for 7 years and within 3 and a half, breaks the peace treaty with Israel. Resulting in what the Bible refers to as Jacobs Troubles. The worst persecution of Jews and Christians, such as the world has never seen ensues. The Third Temple is built during or just prior to this time and he (the antichrist) declares himself God and forces all people who do not submit to him and believe he is the coming Messiah, and deny their faith in Jesus, to be killed. How can all people around the world share in a global currency, a global religion, or be tracked worldwide? Efforts are under way to do just this. Advancements in Technology, a global Digital Currency such as the FED NOW Central Bank Digital Currency and a merging of a new World Religion called Chrislam could be the catalyst to bring this scenario about. Revelation 13:16–17 (NKJV): 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
